And while I think opaque black tights can work with a peep toe in certain situations (at any rate, they are doing on Kate Moss), being married isn't one of them. If the elements calls for pantyhose or tights, You should probably stick with a close toed shoe and save those amazing Stuart Weitzmans for an occasion when you can go bare legged.
